Good data or bad data – do you really care

A short post this week – I am still travelling

Bias in decision making can trump data – as discussed in Is Bias the 7th data quality metric –  and Is High Cholesterol bad?


On the global stage – the analytics that predicted a Hillary Clinton victory in the 2018 US election was, in fact, accurate. A Trump victory was within the margin of error.

The conclusions drawn by most analysts ignored the margin of error as a Clinton victory seemed assured.

Bias outweighed the data.
